NFL Study

In cooperation with NFL Alumni Health, Neuvana is conducting an observational study on former NFL players who have sleep problems and either high stress levels and/or pain.

At the intersection of wellness and technology you’ll find Neuvana improving lives through neuroscience. We’re a company of seasoned engineers, clinicians, and business professionals working to perfect a shared goal: to make the benefits of neuroscience safe, easy, and accessible to everyone. This study is one of many ways we can reach that goal.

EXPECTATIONS+

As a participant in the study, you will be contributing to the

body of health knowledge that may help other former players

and find out if this works for you.

You will receive a Xen by Neuvana and a Reston bed-based

sleep tracker to keep, free of charge. You can expect to receive

dedicated support from the Neuvana team throughout the study.

INCLUSION CRITERIA+

You may be able to participate in this study if you

meet the following:

• You are a former NFL player
• You own an iPhone or iPad
• You have regular sleep problems that prevent
you from getting quality sleep
(falling asleep and staying asleep)
AND
Moderate to high levels of stress
OR
Pain

EXCLUSION CRITERIA+

You will not be able to participate in this study if you meet

any of the following:

• You have an implanted cardiac pacemaker or defibrillator

• You have a Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) Disorder,

Bell’s Palsy, or Trigeminal Neuralgia

• You have epilepsy or a history of seizures.

• You have a mental health condition that significantly

impairs your daily life

• You currently use BiPap or CPAP during sleep

IF I PARTICIPATE, WHAT IS INVOLVED?

01 USE A SLEEP TRACKER FOR 26 DAYS

In order to track your sleep for the study, you will use a sleep tracker. It will collect comprehensive sleep data such as heart rate, respiratory rate, and the actual time it takes to fall asleep.

02 USE XEN TWICE A DAY FOR 3 WEEKS

Xen is compact and portable so you can use it anywhere. Customize your sessions, intensity and patterns. Pair with your favorite music, or just enjoy the sensation in silence.

03 FILL OUT SURVEYS

Throughout the survey, you will be sent a series of surveys to track your progress as well as results.
