Using your Xen in Sync mode allows you to choose your music and set the stimulation to the beat. You'll not only hear your music but the sound will act as a sensation and match the stimulation to your music.
If you use your Xen in Sensation mode, you won't hear any sounds unless you set music to play in the background. In this case, the music is not acting as a sensation but is still providing the good vibes in the background.
Alternatively, if you use your Xen in Ambient mode, you will hear the sounds of what is going on around you (if you're at a concert, watching TV, or at the movies, for example) and these will act to alter the sensation. Be sure to try them all and pick which suits you the best.
You can use any streaming apps available on your phone. The Neuvana app and your Xen are not limited by any streaming services. Feel free to use your favorite music, video, or podcast apps during a Xen session.

I have been dealing with long covid for 2 years. I was ready to take my life and health back. This device is simply amazing! I'm less than a week into using it, but it is like an electronic medication for stress, anxiety, and panic. I felt different after the first session - in a very good way! Very easy learning curve. No issues with anything. Super fast shipping and the quality of the product far exceeded my expectations. Neuvana Xen is a great product. Easy to use. I am post stroke and I am looking for some stroke recovery help. The many waveforms available provides interesting options. Everyone operates on different frequencies and intensities. Neuvana support has been fantastic and much appreciated.
I think the Xen unit is fantastic. It’s helped me extremely effectively with four major problems: Depression, lack of energy, sleep, and gastric emptying. It’s healed all those. I’ve come to learn which frequencies suit me best and I use it twice daily every day: in the morning, when I meditate, and at night, about 30 mins before going to bed. I’m really thrilled with it. Also, the customer service is absolutely fantastic. I feel I am being treated very well and listened to and supported.

What a magical little device! I have had sleep issues for a few years now due to pain (from EDS & Sjögrens) and high heart rate (due to POTS). The first thing I noticed with the Xen is that I started breathing more relaxed and deeper without having to think of it. That effect came instantly. The second thing I noticed is that the time it takes to fall asleep was cut in at least half and I don’t wake up as frequently. The third thing I have noticed after using Xen for a while was that I got more and more deep sleep (that I usually don’t have enough of). And last but not least, my HRV is getting better and better. I also did a few days without the Xen just to see how big of a difference it actually made and after those few days I knew that I wanted to use (and am using) Xen every day.

Vega nerve stimulation was recommended by my therapist to help with my panic disorder. After shopping around, I ordered Xen because I liked the idea that it is hands free and discreet, and also doesn't limit the number of uses before having to replace the machine. I have been struggling with panic attacks for many years, and recently have struggled to get a handle on it with medication alone. It has been very difficult handling these, especially when they occur during work where continued performance is expected and you don't have the space to step away to cope through it. Using Xen is easy and discreet and can even be worn during work or anywhere. I instantly feel relief from the physical symptoms of my panic attacks and it has allowed me to get through many panic attacks. I even recently used Xen while giving a presentation at a conference. 10 Stars! Easier to use than the earlier model (I upgraded). So I have been having a LOT of difficulty with sleep for a long time. I began tracking my REM and Deep Sleep with another device and it has been showing that I was only having MINUTES, sometimes only 4-5 of REM per night and sometimes NONE. I also had very few/short episodes of Deep Sleep and very long episodes of Light Sleep with frequent awakenings throughout the night. No wonder i am tired! I tried Neuvana for the first time last night on Waveform F (for sleep) and slept very well - I had NO awakening, 1.5hrs of Deep Sleep, 2.75hrs of REM!!!!!!! IMy Light Sleep was 2.75hrs, not 5.5hrs as per usual. I actually felt rested with a clearer mind when I woke up. This will be my nighttime habit. I love Neuvana.

I really enjoy this device. I do believe in the theory behind it, it is pleasant to use, it does creates a relaxing effect. I am using it while i am meditating, and often i will listen to a guided mediation while using the device, very convenient. The dual bluetooth pairing is very easy (despite what i have read before) Customer service also is excellent, fast and concise. Would recommend anytime if you are looking into vagus nerve stimulation !
I've been using my device for about three weeks now. I've noticed that I am sleeping better and have a general calm feeling throughout the day. That's a drastic change from before I started using Neuvana. At first I had trouble getting a connection in the app, but I Uninstalled and reinstalled the app and it connected right away and I haven't had a problem since. I'm interested to see what effects this will have long term.
It wasn't what I was expecting but definitely can feel the affects and I'm looking forward to measuring the HRV and resting heart rate.
Excellent. Once acclimated to Neuvana's proper use, it has been a godsend as part and parcel of my mind/ body renewel.
It was an interesting experience the first time, not really knowing what to expect. Once you find a comfortable level, its all very straight forward. I paired it with my iTunes library with a specific music set and found this worked best for me. I need to keep using it and to be consistent so I may really determine the benefits. So far, so good.
I invested in the neuvana a month and a half ago. Upon receiving it, I had difficulty getting the app on my phone to successfully connect to the Xen. I contacted customer service who promptly let me know there was a glitch in the app update that they were working on. Within several days it was fixed and I was able to begin using my xen. I have found it to be a wonderful tool in my toolkit to help with my dysregulated nervous system and anxiety. I typically use it twice a day and notice the biggest difference when the xen is in use. The one main con I would say about it, is how easily the xen disconnects from the app on my phone. I will connect xen via Bluetooth. Then when I go to start a session, it'll say it needs reconnected. Sometimes it will do that several times before succeeding in starting the session. Overall I would say this has been a good investment and I'm eager to see how it helps as I continue to use it.
For my language studies, the Xen has been a great tool to quickly establish focus, while simultaneously reducing stress. Outside of studying the xen has been a wonderful tool for winding down before bed, for recovering myself when I drift away and being more present with my wife and children. The Neuvana customer service has also been excellent.
As a Veteran with PTSD, I am constantly searching for ways to alleviate my anxiety / stress / panic attacks. I finally saved up the money and decided to purchase this device when it went on sale and WOW!!! When I feel an attack coming on, I fire up the device, thrown on some Theta / Alpha waves in the background and within a few seconds, my heart is slowing down, my breathing becomes more regulated and my blood pressure drops!!! I have been though CBT as well, and that does help some, I am excited to try this device in combination with CBT to see how they work together. Also looking to find out how this will help my HRV. I have a baseline for about 1 year of data and will report back after a few months of consistent use. Thanks for bringing such a helpful device to the market!! Wish I heard of you folks a LONG time ago :)

I started using the Xen device 2/22 while participating in a research study for stress reduction with Jefferson. Since then it's part of my daily routine. I knew it was making a difference, but I didn't realize how much until last week when the power button was stuck. I noticed immediately that my sleep was disrupted and that throughout the day my stress level was rising. What really surprised me was that my acid reflux started to act up! I had already contacted customer service to try to have my device repaired; while waiting to hear back I ordered a new Xen with express 2 day delivery! Luckily it arrived 2 days after the weekend and I am back using the device for 30 minutes every day. My mood, quality of sleep, and most importantly digestive system are all feeling better. Customer service was wonderful and I have returned my original device and am waiting for a refurbished one. I want a backup! The Xen has made a tremendous difference in my life. It's worth the investment.
I've been using Xen for nearly 4 weeks. I am a 73 year old man and I use it twice each and every day. In the morning, I set it on Waveform A and High and Low to help reduce my stress level. Then a half an hour before bed I use Waveform F and Ocean Waves to help me fall asleep faster. I've noticed that I'm falling asleep a lot faster. I've been on medication for anxiety and insomnia for 38 years. I've tried Yoga, deep breathing exercises, walking to help. Thank you Neuvana in general for producing this device. It seems to be very effective for my application so I wanted to tell you a little more about how I'm using it in hopes this may help other customers as well as your company with product development and application efforts. I take an anti-depressant (sertraline/Zoloft) as treatment for bipolar 2 disorder and one side effect of the medication is occasional insomnia where I'm able to fall asleep fine in the evening but I wake up after sleeping only ~3-6 hours. My psychiatrist Dr. John Woodall recommended your Xen device for helping resolve my insomnia and by mentioning his name your company gave me a $60 discount on the purchase of a device. Dr. Woodall also mentioned the Fisher Wallace Stimulator (FWS) for my insomnia and this was the first device I purchased and tried. The FWS is effective if I wake up after sleeping only a short amount of time (say ~3 hours) but it's effectiveness diminishes the longer I've been asleep (such as ~6 hours) before waking up prematurely. Because of this I decided to try your Xen device and it seems to be more effective than the FWS for helping me get back to sleep after I've been asleep for longer times. So although I don't need or use your device for stress management it seems to be effective for my insomnia and I am grateful for this. Tom
It's difficult to describe but once I initiate a session I'm transported to a calm relaxed place. I use this mainly at night and my OURA report shows increased deep sleep, REM, and better HRV. HELLO!!!! So grateful I found this

I have been sooooo much happier in my day to day moods. Even friends have remarked on it. I just feel like a new woman! Because, are used to wake up every morning feeling depressed, for no apparent reason, but since I've been using my Xen for 25 mins morning and evening and sometimes for 15 minutes also, in the middle of the day, I feel really uplifted and joyful. I definitely notice a difference when using my Neuvana. I must be one of those Type A people that is a responder. Within 5 min of using Neuvana, I can feel a noticeable difference and more relaxed. I use it 2x per day and have noticed I am less reactive and more easily can go with the flow.

It takes several tries to connect, so each use is an adventure.
The unit is a bit finicky to set up. There is quite a bit of guess work one has to do when trying to find the correct/best amount of stimulation. In the end, I would rather try something like this but with professional assistance.
The earbuds rarely stay on my ear, and I’ve tried all the sizes. I also feel no effect in any way, good or bad. Regardless, I’m still trying to keep a habit of doing it.
Neat little unit but keeps disconnecting from Bluetooth and sometimes you cannot feel the vibrations. I like the unit but it is definitely not worth the price. It feels and looks cheap.
These stop working-you don’t feel the electricity/zaps and you have to remove the rubber covers.
Neuvana Xen is an amazing vagus nerve stimulatior device that is easy to use and offers so much benefit to helping you optimize your daily stress and well-being. It's easy to use and can be combined with music to help enhance your experience, They also have excellent customor service. I highly recommend Neuvana Xen!!!
Cons: The system is pretty cumbersome for its small package. First you have untangle the earphones, find the sprayer to wet the white one, put them in which requires a little twisting to get it seated right, then try to get it to pair with the Bluetooth. Open the app, go to settings, then My Xen unit, press the button on the unit, scan for the device. This sequence is fussy and takes a few rounds to do the first pairing. At last it pairs! Then exit the app and go into the phones Bluetooth settings and find the second Bluetooth Xen device and connect that. Then go back to the app and go to the sessions, pick one and press play. Then fiddle with the amplitude until you can feel or hear something. Hopefully it stays paired until the end of the session. Then you have to unpair the second connection if you want to use your phone audio. Finally, you won’t even know if it’s having any effect for the first month. I’m still in my first month, I hope I can say it’s all worth it.
The device could use a little fine-tuning. First of all, it is hard to tell when it turns off or on. You are supposed to hold down the button, but the instructions don't say for how long, and there is no indicator light that comes on or shuts off as you hold down the button. The lights only appear after you release the button (if you have held it down long enough). Seocnd, it s quite tricky to pair over Bluetooth. The order of steps in the instructions did not work for me. I actually have to pair it through my Bluetooth list first, then go to the app and "Scan for Xen" while holding the button (again, no info about how long to hold down the button). It is supposed to flash blue when ready to pair, but mine never does. It often says "Connected" but then immediately drops the connection and I have to try again. Typically, it takes 2-4 times before the apiring sticks. Lastly, I would like to see research or at least some basic information about the different waveforms (A-R1). Are they different wavelengths? What is each type best for? I looked through the Blog posts and Set Up information but found nothing useful. I do enjoy using it, but hard to tell if it is really helping with my sleep yet.
